If you’re dreaming of a beautiful rustic barn wedding, then settle in as you are about to be in for a treat!
Jacob and Ashley have shared their Ohio wedding with us — from the rustic touches, to the beautiful blush bridesmaid dresses, we think you’re going to love every little detail!
When?
Ashley and Jacob got married on 22 May 2020, but did not have their ceremony with friends and family until 24 July. This was unfortunately due to Covid restrictions.
They picked this date because it marked 10,000 hours of them falling in love.
Where?
They got married at the Buckeye Barn in Springfield, Ohio.
Ashley stated that their favorite thing about the venue was that it was easily accessible for outdoors and indoors!
The most important thing to the couple on their big day:
Besides just getting married, Ashley told us that having a good videographer and photographer was important to herself and Jacob, to make sure that they were able to look back on the day.
The bridal glam:
Ashley’s beautiful white, lace dress was made by ‘David’s Bridal’. The bride chose to wear a chunky heel under the dress, and her hair and makeup was styled by a local girl that she had found on Facebook.
The wedding party:
Ashley chose to have seven bridesmaids. They wore long, blush pink dresses in a multitude of styles to fit each Bridesmaid.
Jacob also chose to have seven Groomsmen. The best man was Jacob’s best friend, who is also named Jacob.
Flowers:
The couple chose a beautiful arrangement of pinks, whites and champagne flowers.
Catering:
Ashley and Jacob had a lovely meal catered for them by a sweet couple from their church, who offered to do so for free.
A little surprise…
The couple announced that they were expecting their first child together during the ceremony! Jacob pretended to remove Ashley’s garter, and instead pulled out a baby vest that surprised all of their guests!
Added information:
Ashley told us that they had a lot of stressful changes due to Covid, Jacob’s deployment extension with the US Marines, and getting married out of the state that they lived in. However, despite all of the craziness, they couldn’t have been happier to be able to get married twice!
